René M. M. Slot

René has a Master’s degree in structural engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark. He finished his Master’s thesis on “Fatigue Behaviour and Reliability of High Strength Concrete” in July 2015. After graduating René worked at ISC Consulting Engineers for a year, mainly focusing on designing offshore transformer platforms.

Since July the 1st 2016, René has been enrolled as a PhD student at the doctoral school of engineering and science at Aalborg University.

The PhD project “From wind climate to wind turbine loads – Efficient and accurate decision support and risk analysis” is a collaboration between the University of Aalborg and the private company EMD International A/S. The main objective of the project is to improve accuracy, efficiency and risk quantification in wind turbine suitability evaluation for a site and park configuration.
