Junyi Yang received his bachelor of civil engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China in June 2012. He joined the Institute of Modern Concrete Structures and Lifeline Engineering of Tongji University (Shanghai, China) in September 2012. His PhD topic focuses on use of Probability Density Evolution Method (PDEM) in stochastic response analysis and reliability evaluation of engineering structures under earthquake excitations. His research interests include optimal strategy of point selection for PDEM, performance and reliability evaluation of reinforced-concrete structures, and polynomial chaos expansion.

Since October 2016, he is a visiting student of the Chair of Risk, Safety and Uncertainty Quantification, and is supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
