Henrique received his Master’s degree of structural engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2015. He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Structural Engineering of the University of São Paulo.

His research interests include efficient solutions for structural reliability problems, reliability-based design optimization (RBDO) and risk optimization (RO).

Since September 2017, Henrique is an academic guest at the Chair of Risk, Safety and Uncertainty Quantification, as a part of his PhD program. During his half-year visit at ETHZ, he will work on efficient solutions for reliability-based design optimization and risk optimization problems.
